Gary really helped me understand the basic concepts of chords, intervals, arpeggios and relations to scales and modes in a really simple and easy to understand approach. I have used the knowledge to play for the pure pleasure which has inspired me to undertake further lessons and training. Gary understood with me whilst the pure theory is required, most importantly you need to have fun and have incremental improvements to continue.
I was really impressed with not only Gary’s technical prowess but his ability to teach experienced [and more mature] students new tips and tricks and how to look at improvisation in different ways. I would highly recommend Gary to all people wanting to learn piano.
